Went out to go buy donuts this morning and when I went to start the Vue it took longer than normal to start, the stereo system didn't turn on, and it idled at 1,500 RPM. Needless to say, I was concerned.

Pull into my girlfriend's driveway, restart the car and it's fine. Like nothing ever happened.

It always does this around winter time for some reason. I'd say it's because of the cold, but it isn't even cold today. At least it didn't stall like it has on my mom before a couple times when it's really cold outside.

But none of the door chimes, blinker clicks, and warning chimes would sound. It was eerily quiet.

Our old Malibu used to chime randomly for no reason. So it did the opposite. Got to love the weird electrical things.

Sounds like some of the same stuff my wifes Escape was showing when her Altenator started to go.

When we should admire them for doing with simple analog electrical parts, hand-manufactured from the lowest-quality pot metal with hammers and gouges, what now takes digital computers to achieve.
